Telstar Retrofit Unit Adds Cold Foil
Published: August 01, 2017 PFFC-Online.com
BURNSVILLE, MN | Telstar Engineering reports its exclusive DecoMod retrofit unit can apply UV-cured cold foil to thin films and heat-sensitive webs.
Other possibilities include cast & cure holographics, spot or flood UV colors or varnishes, UV adhesives, and laminating. Company says its Servo Genius–driven units can be mounted on nearly any press or converting line.
The applications of UV-cured processes to thin films and heat-sensitive webs are accomplished on the chill drum-equipped version of DecoMod.
The option of adding company’s Rotary Screen Interchange to DecoMod system brings another dimension to decorating capabilities. The Screen Deck interchanges with the Flexo Inking Unit in a matter of minutes. Available in 10 in. to 28 in. wide and up to 28 in. repeat, the stand-alone design allows portability.
Cold Foil, Spot UV Flexo, Spot or Flood Varnish, Wet UV Laminating, and Self-Wound PS Laminating are all achieved with Telstar’s DecoMod Multi-Decorator Rail Mounted Retrofit on a Nilpeter Press
